Witch and Wizard Video

My video:

Themes in The Witch and the Wizard

There are many themes in The Witch and the Wizard. One of the important ones would be determination. I think this is an important  theme in the book because if the characters were not determined to get out of the Overworld prison, then they wouldn't have been able to save all the kids from being vaporized. Ever since, they were kidnapped from their home, they wanted to get out and where very determined. This determination got them to sneak out into Shadowland, live in the Garfumkels, and eventually save the other kids in the prison.

Another theme in this book would be courage. I think this wold be a theme in this book because it took Whit and Wisty a lot of courage to free all the kids, and almost get killed many times just for the kids. they needed to be very brave to stand up to The One Who Is The One. They could have stayed in prison and just watch everyone get killed, but instead they rebelled, and try to escape to find their parents and free the other kids. These were some of the main themes in the book.

Don't Die My Love The Alternative Ending

She saw Luke's face, his playful grin, and she smiled at him.
"You aren't supposed to be here." Julie warned.
"I had to see if you got my message." Luke said.
"Of course I got it. You can see it a mile away." Julie climbed down the steps and sat next to Luke, who was  in his wheelchair. " You know they found a bone marrow transplant. I found out when you were in surgery."
"Yeah, the doctors told me after surgery." Luke explained. Julie couldn't help but throw her arms around him.
"Luke, you do not know how good it feels to have you back." She exclaimed.
"Now, with this cancer thing out of the way, we have our marriage to look toward to." Luke smiled at her. Slowly, Julie helped Luke out of his wheelchair and they made their way to the top of the bleachers, to admire the message Luke had planted in the football field, together.

In this ending, Luke lives through the operation. At the end they look at the flowers Luke planted for her and now he will be able to play football, go to college and ultimately marry Julie.

The Turning Point of Haddix: Sabotaged

I think that the turning point of this book is when Jonah discovers that Andrea lost the Elucidator on purpose. I think that this is the turning point of the story because everything was going as planned and all of a sudden they do not have the Elucidator. They have no way to communicate with JB and no way to turn invisible. Also, this is when Andrea tells them about how a man came to her and told her that she could save her parents fom the car accident. They discover that someone wanted to send them into time a liitle before JB wanted them to. Therefore, someone wants a different outcome than JB wanted. All in all, losing the Elucidator is the turning point of the story.

Katherine Changes the most in Haddix: Sent

In the book, Haddix: Sent, I think that Katherine changed the most. I think so because at first she was a girly girl, who was obbssesed with boys and makeup but now she is a loyal friend who will do anything to save her friend. She is interested in saving her brother and her friends. I feel that she changed the most because at the end of the of the book because at the end she is a lot more tougher and braver. I think that she lost some of the girliness in her and she became more mature. I think that this time traveling made her more mature because the time traveling involved a lot of seriousness and the second time, time traveling, she became a lot more serious than she was before she started. In the first book, Jonah mentions that when she came into sixth grade, all of a sudden she was obsessed with boys and makeup. She was displayed as a preppy girl and in this book you can she her transforming into a more mature person. Therefore I beieve that Katherine has evolved the most in the book.

How I Would've Reacted In Haddix: Found

When Jonah is in the cave with JB, Hodge and Gary he remains very calm. He takes control over the situatuion and gets everyone calm. He isn't overwhelmed by the idea of time travel and he stays strong and helps the other kids. On top of that he takes the Elucidator and the Taser away from the adults and he demands he adults to explain what happened. If I were him i would have been freaking out and afraid. Also, I wouldn't be able to take the Elucidator and Taser away. I would be scared out of  mind and I would freeze in place. I definetly couldn't have been as brave as he was, I would be overwhelmed by all of this and would've thought it was all just a big crazy dream. There were so many scary things going on. For example, the concept of time traveling would be very frighting, that I am " adopted" from another century, and that I might not be able to stay in the 21st century for much longer. I think that it is amazing how Jonah stayed so calm.

An Agreed Decision in The Giver

In the end of the book, Jonas and the Giver decide that Jonas should sneak away from the community and that he should go to Elsewhere. This way all the memories that were transferred from the Giver tio him would be with the people of the community. However, when Jonas finds out about Gabriel' s release, he decides to run away that morning that he was going to be released instead of the morning of the ceremony. I agree with this decision because Gabriel does not deserved to be released and be should be going with Jonas to Elsewhere. Although, this decision included Jonas not meeting The Giver before he left, i think that this was a good decision to take. Both of them face hardships along the way but I can infer that Jonas and Gabriel will successfully reach Elsewhere. This is what made me agree with Jonas's decision, he saved a life, made he community get some of its memories back and he will go to Elsewhere.
